Athénée Athens (Ζonar’s )

The story of this emblematic landmark starts in August ’39 when it was founded by the Greek expatriate Karolos Zonara in the corner of Panepistimiou and Voukourestiou. The historic place hosted over the years in its elegant and luxurious environment, many of the greatest personalities of the last century as Odysseas Elytis, Nikos Gatsos, Manos Hatzidakis, Melina Mercouri, Sophia Loren, Anthony Quinn and many others.

The rennovation of the cafe took place in 2015 when the entrepreneurs Spyros and Chrysanthos Panas undertook the management in order to reopen the historic venue.

Pafos S.A. proudly undertook the construction of the indoor furniture, such as all the wooden cladding , the bar, the bookcases executing K-STUDIO Architectural office’s designs.
